Sarah Nicholson

Sarah Nicholson: A smiling woman with glasses and curly hair outdoors, wearing a scarf and jacket, with a lake in the background.

Sarah Nicholson grew up in the small market town of Hadleigh, Suffolk. She moved to the northeast coast in her mid-twenties and spent her married years there, bringing up two sons.

Sarah has been blogging ever since her husband died in an attempt to process her thoughts and emotions. She has unravelled, re-ravelled and is constantly searching for lost glitter…

With a passion for writing flash fiction, she decided to write her memoir In Search of Lost Glitter as a series of short stories. Published in January 2024 by Resolute Books, it went on to win the Ink Book Prize for best non-fiction book later that year.

Her second book, Why is Every Song on the Radio a Love Song?, has been described as ‘a deliciously eclectic collection’ and compared to ‘a beautifully presented platter of tiny canapes’ or ‘a plate of tiny cookies.’ All totally fat and gluten-free!
